Yes indeedy! We live on the "Magic Corner". Any old junk we don't want I just put at the corner of the yard. Never seen anything stay there more the 90 minutes. No deposit needed.

When we lived in Honolulu there was nowhere to take dead car batteries. So they were all over the curbs and beside trash cans. Stupid. Thought that if someone could get the county to pay for them, much money could be had by a small crew with a truck. 1000s free for the picking. Problem solved.
